Sharp Corner
Nova Scotia filmmaker Jason Buxton brings the story of a family man falling into obsession after a car crashes into his front yard. Following the accident he develops an unhealthy obsession with being ready for the next anticipated accident.
On their first night in their new sprawling suburban home, parents Josh (Ben Foster) and Rachel (Cobie Smulders) are awakened by a car crashing into a tree on their front lawn, killing the driver and injuring the passengers. Josh soon learns that accidents are a regular occurrence due to the design of the road, and he becomes obsessed with being prepared to save the next victims. His dedication is intense, learning CPR and policing the street, while Rachel patiently tolerates her husband’s new obsession even as things start to fall apart.
